Using this HTML guide

The buttons

At the top and bottom of each page of this guide are some buttons that you can use to navigate:

[Next] Click on the Next button to go to the next page, in the same order as the paper version.
[Previous] Click on the Previous button to go to the previous page, in the same order as the paper version.
[Up] Click on the Up button to go up a level in the guide; for example, from a page showing the start of a section to one showing the start of a chapter.
[Top] Click on the Top button to go to to the top level of this guide - which is this page!
[Contents] Click on the Contents button to go to the main table of contents for the guide.
[Index] Click on the Index button to go to the guide's index.

Pale colored buttons

Sometimes, buttons are paler than normal, and do nothing when you click on them. This is for one of two reasons:

For example, the Previous button on this page is pale because this is the guide's first page - there is no previous page.
For example, the Top button on this page is pale because this is the page to which it always takes you.

Links

Text that looks like this is a link to another part of the guide, which you can display simply by clicking on the text.

The miniature tables of contents

You can also navigate using the miniature table of contents at the foot of most pages. Just click on the heading you wish to read.

These mini contents list the headings for the next level down in the guide.

How this guide was created

This guide was created from the paper version using an automated conversion. Whilst we have made every effort to ensure its accuracy, there may be some minor features of the paper version that cannot be represented in HTML, and so may be absent or incorrect.
